YOUR OWN PRIVATE ISLAND: Have you always dreamed of marrying on a private island? Well, it might seem like a dream, but it could be a reality. In collaboration with Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Barclay House in Looe is offering couples the chance to marry on legendary St. George's Island. The 22 acre island is now managed by the Trust as a marine nature reserve and weddings are strictly limited to just 12 per year, making it one of the most coveted venues in Cornwall, if not the entire country! Ceremonies are especially intimate with numbers limited to just 32 guests. Access to and from the island is by boat from nearby Looe which adds to the excitement. After the ceremony, photographs can be taken on the island, giving you a unique keepsake of your special day and guests can toast the happy couple with a glass of Champagne before departing back to the mainland by boat.
